Forgive my novice-ness in magento.
I would like to know if there is a way where i can rearrange the shopping options in the catalog.

Suppose there are 4 attributes and are appearing in the following order in the shopping options

1) Capacity
2) Digital Zoom
3) Manufacturer
4) Recoding media

And I need to rearrange the above attributes in the following order

1) Manufacturer
2) Recoding media
3) Digital Zoom
4) Capacity

Can someone please help me with this?

First off, thank you all for your massive contributions. I have been following these forums like a hawk, and this is one great community.

I have a tricky one.

I have a customer who requires the following:

- product price X is affected by a fixed amount discount (catalog price rule)

- if X goes down to zero, other products must be suggested, and their price must fit the the remaining fixed amount discount value

I am at a loss here. Is there a technique/extension that would let me achieve this?

I am setting up a magento store that sells products. Many of these products come with specification documents in pdf format. Is there a way (or an existing module) that will let me upload a pdf document for a product so that users can download the file.

To try clarify things, the pdf is not the product, the product for example would be a kitchen unit etc. The pdf would be fitting specifications. I just want a way to upload a pdf so it appears to download on a product screen.

We are a wholesale only company and I need to be able to accept or deny people entering our site – we are getting the general public accessing our site and placing very small orders. We only supply to the wholesale trade so I need to deny these users access to our site

cache problem after installation. Any link in Admin panel gives a report starting with:

“Could not determine temp directory, please specify a cache_dir manually”

Magento version magento-1.4.0.0-alpha3

Installed on subdomain.

What could be the problem and how to solve it?
