HI there, just interested to know if there is a way for us to add 2-3 flags at the bottom of each page so that the user can click onto it and view the whole website in their preferred language?

I noticed that there were a few language packs in the extension section but they seem to look like translation conversion for a website which wont change from one language to the next.

Can anyone give a little advise?

I’m a newbie to Magento and I thought someone might help in steering me in the right direction to build my site.

Here’s what I want to do:

I have a portfolio of apartment buildings that will be selling our products. The portfolio name is VCom.
Each building address will have its own inventory stock and we will need to track inventory and sales reports at the property address level.
All buildings will be selling the same product.

What is the best suggestion for how to setup this type of site?

This will not be a public site, but restricted logins for each property.

Can someone help with possibly an outline that might put me on the right course?

Maybe im missing a concept here, but i have the following issue:

i went to http://www.feedvalidator.org/ to validate my feed http://www.cosasperuanas.com/rss and it says:

“It looks like this is a web page, not a feed. I looked for a feed associated with this page, but couldn’t find one. Please enter the address of your feed to validate.”

then i went to yahoo rss feed, same thing: “Please enter a valid URL and try again.”
then i went ot google reader and “The feed being requested cannot be found”

why?

everything is enabled in the admin, i actually have installed the blog extension and it does validate everywhere, this one:

why this one works and the main rss feed dont? any help?

I’ve been searching for this answer for several days now and only seem to find other posts with the same question without an answer.

Normally when I setup a page under CMS-Pages I use it under a category, however, I want to add a handful of pages without using a category, and setup url rewrites for these pages but have ran into this problem. I’ve tried about everything I can think of but cannot find the information to setup a url rewrite for a CMS Page.

What is the information required for a CMS Page under URL rewrites?
Type – CUSTOM
ID Path *
Request Path – SEF URL Identifier + .html
Target Path *

Request path would use the SEF Url Identifier with your extension.

Hopefully someone out there has encountered this and has some time to answer this question, unless it is not possible.

If I press button Cancel on Sales-Orders page, order will have Delivered status instead of Canceled. Delivered is my custom status, added to file app\code\core\Mage\Sales\etc\config.xml:
The question is how can I do that after press Cancel button order will have Canceled status?

I’ve input some HTML which is basically a simple table into the product descrption. However, even though i’ve set the align attribute to be centred, I cannot manage to centre the table no matter what I try. Furthermore, the cellpadding attribute doesn’t seem to work for this table, but the cellspacing one does.

I can go back to the homepage by clicking the logo and footer link

I have a box on my site I want to get rid of. In the case that a user has purchased from my store, and when the user is logged in, there is an “my orders” box that I do not consider very valuable. I want to get rid of it. Does anyone know how I can do that?

I would like to add the “Add To Cart” button to the Related Products sidebar.

The default Magento setup only allows checking a checkbox, and adding the related product to cart along with the main product.

However, due to the specifics of my product selection (and the customer base), I would like to have the “Add To Cart” button next to each related item.

Partial Solution:

in template\catalog\product\list\related.phtml, I added the entire code from template\catalog\product\view\addtocart.phtml:
This makes the entrybox + “Add To Cart” button appear – but it doesn’t work.

I tried adding the JS from view.phtml, thinking that maybe the addtocart function in related.phtml needed its own script – that doesn’t work either.

So, now I have the buttons, but something’s missing – they just don’t respond.

I’m currently attempting to edit the default magento theme to my own design, however I’ve come across a major problem. I’m trying to adapt the 1column-left template. On every page, there is a support page and a newsletter content in the left column, however they are not listed as blocks in the page.xml.

Does anybody know within which xml I can find these, so I can delete them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Can someone help me figure out the CSS that will turn my page background black?

I can turn the background wrapper black. I can turn the borders of the catalog results area black but the whole central area remains white. I’ve sat here for hours with my Firefox Firebug opening adding a black background to every single style in my skin’s CSS and nothing. I’ve been viewing the source and trying all the ID and Class tags but none of them will turn the middle area black. I turned the debug Template Path Hints on and I can’t even find that that block has any kind of name.

Anybody have a clue?

My pictures are loading either with the zoom bar on top of them or just huge at the bottom of the product page. I know my pictures are large but it’s because I want my customers to be able to zoom in or load them large with the double click. But first they load very large and then jump down in size and to the bottom of the page.

This has only happened with recent product ads. I have several versions stores in my Magento and only the recently added products are doing this. My method of large picture uploading seems to have worked fine in every other case. The product I tried to order is Rogaine 3 months foam.

The problems I encountered are as follows:

1. I go to the site below.

2. I logged on.

3. I clicked the “Rogaine Foam 3 months”. It reloaded and took me back to the same page. Nothing happened.

4. I then clicked “Add to Cart” under “Rogaine Foam 3 months”. Again, it took me back to the same page and nothing happened.

5. My cart shows that I have no items.

6. I clicked “checkout” and again the page reloaded on me and nothing happened.

I am ordering from Hong Kong so it would be difficult for me to place on order by telephone.

I emailed him asking if he had any crazy security settings on his browser, or disabled java, or cookies. (I have no idea, I just hear people say that a lot so I figured Id say it too). Cant imagine that Java or Cookies would completely disable a basic link from working. He’s not doing anything dramatic here. Just clicking an image link to go to a page.

Anyone have any ideas the cause? He’s logged in from Hong Kong. Magento doesn’t like China?

I need to make an item like this. You can see that the helmet would be a configurable product, with size and color as options, however I would also like it to have the storage bag as a bundle option.

The way I tried to do this was make a configurable product with the size and color options then make another bundle product that includes the configurable helmet and the storage bag. However I don’t think Magento allows you to add a configurable product to a bundle product.

Is there anyway to do this?

All I want to do is write an if/then statement for when the customer clicks on the checkout button, or the checkout top link that says either:

if coupon code is not applied, then show JS alert

or

if coupon code is not applied, then redirect to cart

or

if Grand total = $0.00, then show JS alert

or

if Grand total = $0.00, then redirect to cart

I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to figure this out, but PHP is an Alien Language, and I am human. please help alien coders!

I have a magento site populated and with a theme on a server and I am trying to move it to a new server.
I have installed a clean version of magento on the new server and on the old one I’ve made an export to the database using phpmyadmin.
When importing the old database (using phpmyadmin) into the new server I get this error message:

I have created two custom modules, named “Affiliate Module” and “Coupon Module”. On Affiliate’s listing page, I have added an action “View Coupons”. Now, I want to add functionality to this action, and so far, I’m unable to do this. If admin selects this action against any affiliate, it should take him to the coupons listing page of that affiliate(should only display the coupons which are associated to that affiliate).

I also have a “Generate Coupon” action against each affiliate, and it’s working fine and associating coupons to the right affiliate. But, I do not know how to list a particular affiliate’s coupons.

I currently generated 3 sitemaps and magento is showing these 3 sitemaps with id 1, 2, 3 on the list under “Category – Google Sitemap”

How do I delete the ones I don’t want?

Also, another question is shouldn’t sitemap.xml exclude the links that being removed from the page if we update the content of the page? such as the first landing page of the site.

Or the sitemap.xml was supposed to just keep accumulating all the old links and adding new ones and never delete the removed links on the pages?

I’d like to add a flash block to the homepage only, similar to this example.

I presume I’d add in the relevant line to page.xml like this:
then in my page layout (2columns-right.phtml) I’d tell it where to place it like this:
Then I’m guessing I need to populate the structural block so would this be in catalog.xml for the homepage view? Like this:

i have implement FCKeditor for product, category & cms. In product, it seems good but in category & cms i can’t found FCKeditor. Even in category, when page is being loaded, FCKeditor comes for few seconds & then textarea is being displayed… anybody can help???
